I just read that. Excited to see he still has a ride in GP. It'd have been great to see him on one of the Jap bikes, though, I bet he could contend for podiums on a better bike.

I'll be interested to see if he gets the paper work any quicker than Cal has!!!,or a.n.other is playing a very shrewd game.

I'd rather see Nicky than Cal. Cal's getting irritating in his behavior. He needs to learn when to open his mouth and when to put a lid on it.

Well, Hayden has a one year contract at Ducati for 2013. Rossi is taking the time off till Indy to decide on going back to Yamaha or staying at Ducati. Spies is GP history and it official. Dovi may get the nod to move up to the factory team if Rossi opts out of that deal. The Crutch may go to Ducati if Rossi moves back. I personally think that Rossi would like one more high percentage shot at a championship before retiring to F1. There are some other wild cards and Chris probably has the gouge on them.

Rossi will not go to F1. He missed his chance for that.

I was really hoping that Nicky would return to Honda. He really needs a hot season soon and I think the Honda would have been the ride.

...ah, yet another bubba special... some stuff that has been warmed up three times, along with plenty of uninformed guesses.... yawn.
meanwhile, both cal and rossi wadded their bikes pretty good today... cal went back in, hopped on the backup bike and bettered his time by about half a second. my money is on pedrosa, though... if he doesn't throw it away again... fun times in laguna seca

I see on the UK commentary they were saying Dovi has the offer of a Honda for next year, his problem he doesn't carry any money and hence why Yamaha want Rossi with his millions in sponsership who ever does go will have to ride for free and find his wages else where, like Spies did.
The problem being does anyone think after Yamaha paying Lorenzo 11 million Euro for 2013 they are going to let the backup man upset the apple cart!!,he'll be doing as he's told, that would be my concern with Cal going, and I've no doubt the situation isn't lost on Rossi either. Ducati are obviously looking for some continuity with Hayden, apart from the fact he's easy to work with and the best PR rider in the paddock, but seeing how he got so easyly mugged at Muggello shows the mega bucks he's got in the bank have knocked the edge off him,I know folk like him on here, but I think it's a major clanger,if Rossi leaves and I was running Ducati I'd have gone for Cal and Dovi the competition between them would have dragged the bike to the front. I'm not going into the Cal contract thing with Ducati, that will come to it's own conclusion one way or another. They were also saying that Spies WILL go to BMW WSB with Melandri(some kind of team e'h!!) for big bucks,I can't believe despite denials that it(BM) isn't getting ready for Moto GP. |

i had a long conversation with uli porsch, whom you may know, chris (used to be the engine guy foe the crocodile, then with bmw, now the head engine guy with ktm here in the us) and he suggested they bmw would not be ready for motogp...
the word disaster comes to (my) mind...

Since the BMW engine will probably be abandoned for an Aprillia at Indy on Edwards' ride I'd say your "long conversation" as you put it, is probably true. Are the barbs really necessary, Ralf?

I'm an interested spectator!!,BM's last 4 years in WSB has been tortuous at best,BUT they are/have got there in the end, they will have learned lots
,nows the time for reflection but I'm not sure BM can actually afford not to go to Moto GP in the future, when ever that maybe, what you can be sure of it won't be with that motor, and I'd suggest there'll be a delay while they work that out.
