Plug for Stahlbus on HP2 SPort

Not sure if anyone else has seen these or not, as Stahlbus is pretty new in the US. They have been in Europe for a while but until late last year did not have a US distributor. A fine German guy Thomas Modlmeier decided that he didn’t want to continue life as a Mercedes tech and was going to bring the Stahlbus products to the US market.
Basically they make 2 different products, a quick oil drain valve and brake bleeder valves. Applications to fit whatever your needs are, though their online catalog is in the process of being translated from German to English.
When changing the oil on a HP2 Sport you need to put some protection on the exhaust to keep it from getting douched with oil. Not a big deal but with the Stahlbus oil drain valve, simply remove the protective cap, insert the included fitting with hose which depresses a stainless ball and oil starts to flow. A cap that can be safety wired is also available. No mess. I have installed this on my Tdi Jetta, but waiting until the next oil change on the Sport to install it.
Their brake bleeder valves are great. Essentially replaces the existing valve but is a little taller due to the design. There is a base that screws into the caliper and then the bleeder screw with check ball and o ring is installed into the base. So the way they work is as follows. Open the bleeder up 1 ½ turns and you can use a vacuum pump to extract the old fluid in the usual way if you are changing the fluid. Open the valve ½ turn and use the master cylinder to push the fluid out. The check ball closes and stops the air from coming in as does the o ring that seals the outside of the bleeder. Keeping an eye on the fluid level continue pumping until you are happy with the fluid coming out. There is a similar product on the market, a Speedbleeder but these do not have o ring seals and cannot be put into flush mode.
Maybe these are overkill, but brake fluid flushes are something that I tend to ignore as they can be messy and a pain. Brake fluid is easy to forget about as what happens if you don’t change it. Usually nothing unless you ride on the track and the fluid boils.
They are available with different colored anodized caps and are simple to install. If anyone is interested in them I can get them for you at a discount or you can call Thomas and he will hook you up.
Here is the link to their website for all the info that you might want.

Looks like a very expensive speed bleeder, the ones I use are from an ebay supplier & were about $25 for all the brakes & clutch & work very well. I'm not so sure I like the idea of an oil plug with a hole in the middle. That said they are very cool bling
