I saw the bike last week, it looked factory fresh. They said all but five parts they could not get.
It was $ 45000.00 in parts. They have been getting calls from all over the world to buy it. It will be interesting to see what they sell it for.

Thanks Bill. That *****er can ride a bike. Agree In a couple of views it looked like a old bike...if not they have harsh way of breaking in new bikes.

Yeah, to retain collector value it can't be ridden.

borderline bike abuse.
somebody oughta call Bike Protective Services and find that R90 a foster home/garage. compared to a lot of other videos showing the same thing....it's kinda lame. looks amateur, so probably not much of a budget. snow and wet ground didn't help either. as far as going viral...nah.

Motorrad axiom:: Kit 90S value is not = to the sum of the cost of parts to build it.

Lot happened between 1974 (first R90S) and 1999 (first R1100S). The former is just a cute old bike that can't hold a candle to the latter. It does have a voltmeter.

Are the parts made out of gold? It's a R90 for fuk's sake! I can build a really nice airplane that cruises @ 200 mph for that money in parts inculding the engine.

It's built from the parts bin, at parts bin prices. That 25k Camry would cost 100k if built that way.
They did this for PR. I'm sure they know what a r90 is worth.

Nicely done. I had a '78 R100S, it was my daily driver. Loved the bike, sadly I sold it 25 years ago. The BCR is a nice substitute though.

Very nice, you were lucky to find that one. My '78 was "Smoked Red" and had the snow flake aluminum wheels. I was a shame that the national speed limit was 55 mph during my ownership. It was a smooth ride, whether at 55 or 85.
