Can't wait to see what Stoner will do for Ducati... should be fun. Maybe we'll even see him as a wild card.

considering the bikes that have been working well over the past season, which brand is more suitable to corner speed? which one likes to rail the outside, as opposed to stop-turn-shoot with a hard apex? we've heard that there's the racing line and then there's the "honda line". same is probably true of the yamaha, which seems to do better tucked in tight. if they can introduce some of the corner speed type situations that regularly occur in mogoGP3...that'd make it way more interesting. those little guys consistently put on the best show of the day.

Love to see him as a widcard. He was leading Suzuka when the bike failed on him. As far as a tester, its been said that he isnt that helpful as he's so good at riding around problems. The Ducati declined on his watch, as did the honda. MM even went back to the '14 bike.

Pirro got several chances to run in GPs this past season so I would have to expect that Stoner will too. The Ducati factory is still developing 2 different versions of the GP14 (Aspar & Avintia), as well as the GP15 (Parmac), and GP16 (Ducati Factory), sounds like they need a lot of help!

I remember Stoner answering a reporter's question in regards to the bike and how Ducati handles the issues with "It's simple, if I win, it's a great bike.... if I lose, I am a bad rider". Another one of his statements (the best one by far) was "sometimes you just have to stop thinking about all the issues and start riding what you have..." He did that with the Ducati... better than anyone else. I became a huge Stoner fan when I saw him ride live (he is a ruthless stalker) and then met him in the Ducati Container at Lagune Seca... he is a very shy, but very nice guy. No fan of the limelight at all. But very approachable in a quiet setting. Not a dummy either. He has come up the hard way and never forgot that. With that, I am off the soapbox.

I remember back when Stoner was labelled a crasher. All because he rode beyond the limits of the bike. Once he got on to the Ducati (already a race winner and the last by Bayliss WSK Champ).
While the Ducati was a race winner Stoner held his own and manhandled the bike to win races and a championship. Over time the bike lost its winning edge. Was that Stoner or the issue of the Ducati engineers to not understand what was needed to keep it a winner in time. History states the head Ducati guy was moved aside and the new head has made major improvements supplying what is needed. Stoner goes to Honda on another race winning bike and wins a championship again. Again over time the bike losses its winning edge. At this point we need to understand why. Over time I watched as a proud Aussie as Stoner was becoming more negative in his responses but also understood after 20 years of racing and many years in Europe he was over it. My Kiwi mate believes Stoner can ride around issues but the winning bikes he starts with lose the winning edge. I hope Stoner does bring something to Ducati as he will push beyond the current field of riders they have and hopefully with the new engineering structure they can make it competitive for 2016. Seems after all the testing the Michelin rear has good grip and loads the front to fold in many case. I am happy the new electronics make it a more even playing field and should make the racing more enjoyable. Just my $0.02

I have always admired Loris Capirossi's physique. Its as if he was genetically modified to fit a
super bike. Short body and extra long arms to sit way back on the seat.

Rique thanks, I passed that to some of my mototogp loving friends & they loved it. I'd bet Marqy is spitting blood over that one.
1%er, exactly why I don't watch nascar, 2 minutes of racing in 2 hours of driving in circles, BORING. |

My gf had one, pos cheaply made, fit ok but shield worked hard, minimal venting if any. A low buck alternative to a real helmet essentially. After she wore my Shoei once it was history.
