Added another one to the stable

This one so far has a fun factor which is off the charts, for sure the most fun I've had on a bike in quite sometime. It steers very similiar to the R1100S, I know that one is hard to believe but it does, which is just perfect for me. But mine does have the a-arm shortened. The power with a PCV and an Autotune set for 13:2 feels like your own a Gixxer 1K till about 7K RPM's. But its a hoot and I cannot wait to get it into the mtns. Stumbled on it looking for KTM dirtbikes. First thing I did when I got her home, mainly because the guy threw in two sets of new decals, was to paint the from fender to match the bike. I was just black plastic.

Yea, it is the most fun I've had on a motorcycle in quite sometime. The power is all usuable. I accidently stumbled on it while looking for dirtbikes with my son. I wasn't even in the market, although I had drooled a bit over the 1290 Superduke GT. But I swore I'd never buy the latest greatest 20K any motorcycle again.

I think this bike is the precursor to the Superduke GT, it looks just like it and actually feels just like it when you sit on it. Now I'm wondering how I'm ever going to ride the Beemer again and I haven't even gotten to the mtns with it yet.

The guys over on the KTM boards sure have their act together on mod's and such, very impressed. I've got the PCV with the autotune attached and the A/F Ratio set at 13:2. Every time you ride it you pull in and hook it up to the Laptop and pull up the fuel trims and accept them. Then it seems to get crisper and crisper.

O'm thinking about doing the wheels the color of the frame when it needs tires.

Nah, I've just done the PCV and autotune with the Leo Vince exhaust. They say you can buy another airbox on it and really starts to suck some air and make its total potential power. So far the power is just perfect for me and the way I like to ride. I'm probably going to keep the factory airbox and just put an after market filter in it. Never been a fan of that sucking sound you get with the aftermarket airboxes.

Thanks for the compliment. Yea but it still feels like you've got a big motorcycle underneath you. My Beemer has been my mtn bike and I keep looking for something to ride around the house on. In fact I just sold a Ducati S4RS, it was badass, but it didn't feel like you had anything substantial beneath you. I like what feel like how a big motorcycle feels underneath you or at the very list your head doesn't feel like it is out in front of the bike. So far it had been all day comfortable and you hate it is time to go home. You want to just keep riding. I haven't that feeling in years.

From what I read, I believe you are right. It's basically a Super Duke with bags, better passenger accommodations, bigger gas tank, etc. The GT took it a little further.

I sat on GotRoad?'s MultiStrada. Wonderful bike but I don't like being on my toes at a light. I guess a habit from my Harley days. That's why I bought the Hyperstrada over the Hypermotard. The Motard has 3 more inches of inseam. Felt a lot like the Multistrada (he has the Pikes Peak edition).

I guess that's why I like the Duke over the Adventure too and the S1000R over the S1000XR. For me, the Hyper feels like a dirt bike but it can't hold a candle to your KTM's power. Looks like Roger will have my forks done this week for the Hyper, just in tme to put her back together for the COTA MotoGP. Maybe I'll see some of you guys there.

So I guess when I need a power fix, I'll have to get on one of my RC-51s. One is a Mori Stage 2, so that one goes pretty good. Though the R1150S Project Bike is coming along now. I just need to get the damn Duc off the lift so I can get back to the Beemer.

That's a great bike, hope you enjoy it...

Blimey some kind of understatement that, change the little to a lot.

Bikes have changed drastically in the last couple of years not only with big HP my K has that but fly by wire and quick shifters it's another ball game,I've ridden my XR up against a GT you wanna go faster you'll need an RR.
