FSBO/ S1000RR on Ebay
S1000RR for sale on ebay. This looks like a legitimate resale so I'll track it.

It went for $13,300.00! That's a big discount for 2 months and 1,500 miles. If you looked at the tyres they were never even near the edges. Someone got a great buy.

hard to believe something so fabulous and hardly used would depreciate so quickly

I read this quite differently:
MSRP = 13800 + 1480 + 450 = 15730 13300 / 15730 = 0.84 16% depreciation is far less than average. In my experience, I find that it's usually close to more like 20% for the 1st owner. I guess the purchaser was making an emotional buy based on the aforementioned "fabulous and hardly used" state of the machine. |

I'd say that the buyer got a great deal.

No, that would make no sense. Depending on which state of union, used vehicles incur sales tax the same as new vehicles. In NY, any change of title, new, used, whatever, incurs sales tax. There is no prep fee from any of the reputable dealers that I know of. Furthermore, dealers are offerring $650 off of MSRP no questions asked, so if anything, I should be taking that off. Whether or not it was a good deal is in the eye of the beholder, but I would have never bought it for that price.

South Carolina sales tax would be 7% I think. What would you have paid for it with the equipment it had?
