Horn Button Is Stuck Down on 2011 Boxster Spyder

Took my 2011 Boxster Spyder out today. While driving I went to press the horn button and it got stuck in the on position. Horn button is depressed and horn continues to blare when engine is running. I removed the B3 fuse, until it can be repaired. Anyone else run into this issue? I need to somehow raise the horn button back up.

Had the same problem with my 2011 Cayman - though it never got completely stuck. My mechanic was able to remove.and lubricate it - problem solved.

I do not know if the 2011 horn mounting is the same as 1999 but the problem with mine was the rubber bushes that the horn pad mounts to were damaged. These bushes are not available separately so I made nylon bushes and used steel springs. I posted pictures and information further down on the forum.

Same issue on my Boxster 2011 S. Dealer charged 175 to fix. They said they had to trim air bag to keep from binding.

Had to pay about the same to my dealer. In my case it was the original springs being too weak. They removed and replaced them with stiffer springs. Works fine now.
