01 986 differential service delima, help

I have done it once. Had to remove the cover plate. So some research revealed it can be vacuumed out. Not going to happen. Unless I am missing something . Tried all different sizes of tube. So to get the plate off the entire trans mount had to be removed. 01s are riveted on the triangular section so requires removing it from the trans. Then you get to remove it. Of course you have to drop part of he exhaust and axel. So please some one tell me what I am missing. I am ready to drill and tap. Hope there is a better way.
