01 986 S only starts with gas pedal ???

Not sure what’s going on. Today just stalled at at stop sign. Cranked like the crank position sensor was bad, no start. Much to my old , yes old thinking I pressed the gas pedal a bang she started but will not maintain idle. Once home and the car cool I did the same start, idled for about 45 second, rpms wandered some and off she went. Hopefully someone has had this scenario and can point me in the right direction. Oh and no CEL ever today.

Scan for codes for sure. This has all the trappings of a vacuum leak.

Only fault code was P0446 shutoff valve activated filter (function) . And don’t you know she started right up.

All is well. Moral to the story is don’t over fill. That simple.
