Looking for a Link
Greetings all,
As a 911SC owner, I haven't spent any time in this forum. My brother called over the holiday and is looking at a 2005 Boxster (987) with 178K miles. My ask is that someone point me to a post with a list of things to look for as he looks at the car. I have done a search and but didn't find one, but I am sure it it here somewhere. Of course, if there anything worth noting, please post it here as well. Lastly, while I'm at it, are there any recommendation for PPI shop in the Birmingham, AL region? Thank you for help!!

I'd add that I'd ask to see the form the shop uses to perform a PPI. Does it include a leakdown test, compression test? Cam deviation test?
My PPI was a two page written sheet filled out and they spent about a half hour doing a walk through with me while the car was on a lift even considering it was my second Boxster. It set me up to know what I'd want done in the next year or so. $3k later I was all set for the next 5 years except for the periodic fluids. a list of P-car shops is https://www.pcarshops.com/search?q=birmingham%20al Last edited by mikefocke; 01-05-2022 at 01:25 PM.. |
