New Member with engine removal questions
Hi all. Just joined, not sure how to use this forum, any advice appreciated.
Car is a low mileage 2000S, 6 speed manual. I'm the second owner, purchased from a good friend a few years ago so I know it's history. I decided to do the IMS as a precaution and at the same time RMS, clutch etc. I have a Max Jax 2 pole lift and lots of tools. So I pulled the transmission, that went fine, hardest part was getting that massive heavy muffler clear. Then I started looking into other projects I should do while I'm in this deep. Quite a list. IMS, RMS, clutch, trans seal, AOS, Coolant tank, Oil filler hose (mine is leaking) spark plugs, tubes?, coolant pump, maybe more. With the engine still in the car I'm finding access is tight, not fun. So I am thinking why not just pull the engine as well, work in comfort. Does this make sense? Thanks Ken 2000S |
