PPF nay or yay, whats your perference?

Just interested on what others think of the use of PPF?
Do you like the look of it?
Or just put up with it to save the paint?
For me from 5 feet it's fine but up close I prefer waxed paint.

I maybe in the camp of using it on the bumper and headlights only.

Searching the net I've found some comments about installers using either precut PPF or custom cut PPF. It's said that some installers using custom cut PPF can "Knife" the paint while cutting it. I find that interesting as a Cayman I have has cut marks about 1" from the bumper along the fenders, hood and headlights, 12 cuts! I thought a body shop may have done that masking of the bumper for a repaint before I bought the car, but that maybe from PPF install.
