987.1 Cayman Base Sun Visor Installation Newbie Questions

When I bought the Cayman there were a few problems with it I knew I was going to have to fix.

I fixed the telescoping steering column thanks to all you good people here. So there is one problem down.

Now I'm on to another problem. It didn't come with sun visors....

Whomever had it previously, decided to upgrade the headliner Alcantara but didn't bother putting back in the visors. It didn't come with them either. I purchased some on eBay (vinyl) and eventually found the clips not too long ago.

Here's where my questions come in:

Did the visors come with a light option for the mirror or were they just plain? I bought mine without them.

Does anyone know what type of screws are required to attach them?

And finally...how can I attach them without taking the car apart? I know it's not hard to do (I suspect) but if I don't have to do it, I'd rather not. I feel the attachment locations through the liner, but not holes exactly with just a superficial running over it with my hands. I suspect I could "cut" the area (making an "X") but that might be ugly. I thought I would ask more knowledgeable people about this topic than myself before I jumped into it.

Thanks to everyone for the help!

Here you go. It looks like on the drivers side the clip (attachment bracket) on the right has an opening on the bottom which likely houses some type of bolt or screw to attach it. The clip (attachment bracket) on the left likely just slides in somehow, once the right side is unbolted. Just a guess mind you.

The right side one has a little door that pops open to expose the attachment bolt or screw.

It’s pretty straight forward, I had to take mine off when I removed the headliner for a new cover. Good trim tools is a must.

Its not as easy when he doesn't have anything there currently and the headliner is covering up the holes.

Sorry Neil yes I was talking about removal, I assume you can find the attachment points with a magnet and then use a toothpick to locate the holes.

I was hoping that my.pictires helped because I think he was missing the hardware too. It was just a headliner when he bought the car and no sunvisors or hardware to attach them.
