Boxster Trans
Hi. Anybody know the history of the Boxster manual transmissions? Am considering an engine swap to a 3.8L motor and want to know what model year "donor" car to start with. Can a 996/997 box be retrofitted or is it not worth the trouble? Thx

Not a direct answer but....
In another forum, there was a discussion regarding short shift kits. One of the posters said not to waste our time with the short shift kits and that a GT3 shifter fits without any problem. ... it may be a sideways answer to your post.
