Done!!!

Final edits / reviews are done and in. The Boxster book is now being sent to the far east for the first print proofs. Finished copies should be here in the warehouse in December 2010!

Yeah Me! On to the next one (996).

Damn, Wayne, take a break or get an assistant. The Boxster box is a year late and I say that in a good way because many that have heard of the project have been waiting for the day it hits the shelves and now it will. If you write a 996 book, it will sell now. It needs to be on the shelf now.

You need a staff if you're going to keep writing books in the series. Or you could franchise them with final editing control. Sorta like the "Dummies" series.

It's actually two years late! Yes, I do now have a staff assisting me on writing the books, so they will be coming much faster! The 996 book is about 80% done, I'm trying to get it completed by SEMA (Nov 1st).

Nothing planned as of right now. Things are a bit busy here right now. Sales are up 31% over last year, and Pelican may be moving to a larger location!

Wayne, congrats on the book. I have been following your forum for about a month, ever since I purchased my 2000 Boxster S. It's about the best out there!
I did my homework and researched before I made my purchase, even with the
horror stories of the IMS failure and other issues. It is a 21000 mile Arctic silver,
metropol blue interior and top, full leather interior, digital sound package and 18"
turbo look wheels with pirelli pzero's. The engine purrs and is extremely quiet.
Hope thats a good thing. Looking forward to buying your book as soon as possible. I just detected a resonance or droning sound that happens at about 35-45 mph from the back end...SOMETIMES...... sounds like a bearing?? Maybe your book will address this issue. Anyways, your IMS bearing replacement sounds like
preventative maintenance and would make a fine winter project. This is my 3rd Porsche (previous 914 and 911T) and am kicking myself for selling them. I'll be following the forums religiously.......Pat

It will be a welcome reference on my shelf next to your engine rebuild book and Bruce's 911 Performance Handbook. I don't know of a single week I haven't referenced both in years.
