I am looking for racing seats for my 986. I would appreciate your comments. If anybody knows of used seats for my 1999 Boxter please let me hear from you

Lots of folks like Recaro Pole Position, Sparco Evo is another favorite. Do you want/need a "containment" seat? are you wearing a HANS type device?

Also check the sanctioning body you will run with about THIER rules for allowable seats -ie, must they be FIA compliant? If not, must you run a back brace? (and is there room for one depending on your size?) etc. etc.

I used Sparco Evos in my 99 Boxster and was very happy with them when the car was street legal. I'm now using a Sparco ProADV containment seat that I also like, but I wouldn't want to drive the car on the street with a containment seat (visability is impaired). I have an extra Sparco Evo with a date of 2008 that I would sell. I'm in Southern Calif.

I just picked up a set of Cobra Suzuka Pro seats for my 987. They are a very nice seat.

Talking Still looking for seats for my Boxster

I'm not going to race the car but I enjoy running in a DE. That being said I probably will get a Hans neck brace. Recaro seats are nice but pricey new. (I live in Houston.)
I'm optimistic that someone will be looking to sell a Recaro and live not too far away.
I have seen the Sparco and it is another good option. I will look into the Suzuka Pro also.
Thanks, I think

In my last track car (a 914) I ran some Kirkey aluminum seats. Cheaper than the Recaro/Sparco route, but seems like they offered more sizes/widths, and the covers could be removed for cleaning/changing if desired. No, they were not FIA rated. Comfortable for street and plenty supportive for track use. (Kirkey Intermediate Road Race deluxe was the model iirc.)
