2006 Boxster Convertible Top Won't Close

Hello,

After enjoying a nice non-eventful 100 mile drive home, the top on my faithful '06 Boxster will not close. The clamshell opens, the top comes-up to about half way and then comes to a halt.

I checked the pushrods - they were fine. I tried to life the back of the top but it wouldn't budge!

Loathe to take the car to the dealer - (for the obvious reason: $$$) and am hoping that one of the Pelican Parts Porsche community might have some clues.
