Front engine mount bushing replacement only
Hi guys,
I tackled my first Boxster repair this weekend being the front engine mount replacement. I was getting a slight vibration while turning left and decided to take a shot and replace it. As it turns out, the original rubber hub had deep cuts in the rubber so I am hoping this was it. Rather than purchase the entire assembly I found the replacement rubber isolator and decided to give this a try. I hacked out the old rubber hub and installed the new one. At the point of installing the entire assembly back in the car, does anyone know if this method of repair is as good as the original? At this point I have invested so much time in the removal that the thought of putting in an inferior part scares me. The replacement part says it is a Lemforder item # 34705-01 Any help would be appreciated. Jim

was thinking of doing the same thing
Hi I was thinking of doing the same thing since the bushing only replacement is 100 usd cheaper than buying the whole assembly. Was it difficult to press in? How's the car doing now? thanks in advance
