New 2001 Porsche Boxster S owner
I have had my 2001 Boxster S now for one month and love everything about it. I have done my own maintenance on most every car I have owned which includes MGB's, Morgans, Alfa Romeo's and a older 911. I will be doing an oil & filter change pretty soon. The first thing I noticed which is new to me is all those underbody panels. I am assuming (
) that they were smart enough to not put them in the way of such a routine maintenance operation. But, it sure looks like they cover everything. Anyhow, do I have to remove any of them for this oil change? Thanks. A picture of my Boxster is attached.

PedrosBoard :: DIY Projects DIY Project Guides - 986 Forum - for Porsche Boxster Owners and Others There is a lot of information at these links on DIY projects - including the oil change. Although performing some jobs can be awkward due to the mid-engine configuration, the availability of well-illustrated, step-by-step instructions makes DIY maintenance fairly easy. Good luck with your new-to-you car. |

Gorgeous color combination! I wish my 2000S was that! Mine is silver with dark blue interior and top. JB
