Based on a previous comment, am I to understand that if one of these HID bulbs fails, there is no replacement bulb? I own a '98 Boxster.

If they are factory Litronics, bulbs are available ( 999-631-036-90 at around $115 at retail); if they are aftermarket lights, you may be out of luck.

I just installed a 2 pairs of LED H7 bulbs (HIGH AND LOW) on my 97 Boxster. They don't heat up as HID do and they are very bright. My choice was 45W bulbs. Available thru Ebay. $111.00 for the pair.
