Warning Light Confusion

2002 Boxster S- Just put in new brake pads last fall. Everything was good. Covered the car for the winter. Now upon starting the car and as soon as you put foot on brake pedal the ABS and PSM dash warning lights come on and stay on. They recycle upon turning off the ignition but once you press the brake pedal they come back. Do I need to disconnect the battery to reset this condition?

No, because if you do, you will loose all diagnostic data as to why it is happening. MIL lights do not come on without a reason, get the car scanned to find out why.
