Code P1117
I have a 2000 Porsche Boxster S with 38500 miles. It was recently purchased and the past owner had the o2 sensor replaced twice after getting the P1117 message on two seperate occasions. The last time was a week before I bought the car. After I started driving the car for a few days the engine line came on. I received the same code. Over the last few days it has gone off while driving and then comes on once I start the car in the morning. The mechanic wants to replace the o2 sensor heater behind catalytic converter cyl. 1-3. I need to pass emissions. Is there anything else that should be checked?.........thanks for any help

I would check the wiring and connector for that sensor, they should not keep failing.
