First impressions 1-10 8+. It feels faster, It also appears to move the shift point higher in automatic mode, before was 32-3700rpm, now it seems to be just over 4-4200rpm, so the car moves into the power band of 4k rpm. Seems quicker from zero to 60. I cant prove this, but it gets up. You can feel the difference between sport mode and race mode. Now I have not mashed the pedal down, but after a loop in the same area, it is pretty awesome. Now is it worth the $320 ? Yes. The Car feels quicker out of the gate. Considering that's why we buy/drive a Porsche, that seems reason enough. Cold Air Intakes are about the same price, Flash your chip is probably double. So this seemed like a reasonable price-upgrade. I have attached a picture where I mounted the device. out of the way but able to adjust with ease. When off, it blends in with the console. Side Note: when wifey asks whats that? I can say with confidence that it is designed to help get better gas mileage.. which is true... when off completely the throttle body opens slower, so mileage is improved, as apposed to race mode 9. Hey I am riding the fence. but I don't have to explain why I need my car to "feel" faster for $300. Good luck to all MarkP ![]() __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: Porsche Boxster Sprint Booster Installation - 986 / 987 (1997-08) - Pelican Parts Technical Article |
