Replacement Key
I have two 3-button keys for my 2007 Cayman S. I'd like to have a "chip only" spare I could hide somewhere on the car. Did the car originally come with some sort of non-button key? Where can I get one? I assume it would need to be programmed at a dealer? Thanks!

First of all, the cars are programmed to accept the key, not the other way around. Valet keys did exist for the earlier cars, so they may for yours as well. But as you must get a key with a specific code tag attached to do the programming, a dealer is probably your best bet.

I don't know about a "chip only" key, but I bought this "emergency key" from my Porsche dealer. It's made of plastic or Delrin or something similar.
