Porsche Crest service

Hi all!
I guess I'll start out by saying hi......Hi! I'm currently in the military stationed in South Korea, soon to be back in California for good! Someplace between Modesto and Fresno if everything works out! Okay for the questions. My 80 928 was needing a good once over type of check up. Check it out and fix a few things. I would normally do this kind of work myself, but this car is pretty intimidating, and I've got no experience with it, although I've got considerable training, I lacked space and manuals for the vehiche. After shopping around I noticed a serious lack of Porsche independant shops in the valley....particularly in the manteca-modesto-stocton area. after many phone calls to "european" shops I finally settled on a specialty shop after a visit with the owner. Well, it's been a month and I'm back in Korea and my car has had maybe an hour worth of work finished. Still waiting on time, parts, whatever the weekly excuse is. Would anyone know of a shop in this area?? I'll probably do most of my own work from here on out, as this has driven me to purchase 400 bucks worth of used factory manuals!! Sorry for the long post!!!

Anyanghaseyo Dagwood,

I can't help you with shops in the Central Valley but did just want to say hi. I was stationed at Suwon AB back when they let US troops there. Anyway, you ought to post this on the 928 board, if you haven't already.

Chris
