Question AutoX in Calgary - 2004

I know it's way too early to think on that but the car hasn't moved since Oct 1 and the days are starting to look slightly better (of course I jinxed the day and snowed, you gotta love Calgary's weather)

Who organize the autoX event in Calgary, do you register or just show up? I've never been to an event like that.

As a matter of fact while checking Race City web site's I found they have for May 1,2 High Performance driving lessons. Does anyone have any experience on this?

Later..
-J

Hmm.
I know the Calgary Sports Car Club does a lot of autox and solo events.
Perhaps contact them? Sorry but I don't have their web address right now, but if I recall correctly, they can be found through the race city web site.

I looked into the high performance driving lessons as well, but I decided to go with racing adventures instead. I don't wish to use my own car for DE. It's in quite poor shape. Besides, those Shelby Cobra replica's look like fun to drive.

Oracle - the PCA Wildrose Chapter organizes a few events over the year at Race City. These things are great balls of fun and pretty cheap to participate in.

I recommend that you join the club (also pretty darn cheap) - that gets you on email distribution for upcoming events like autox as well as events going on in other chapters. The club also frequently announces autox activities of other clubs that are going on at Race City. Membership in PCA also gets you a discount on autox entrance fees as well as cool stuff like the monthly magazine and chapter newsletter.
