Well, funny (Ok, not so funny) story.
Driving down the street, about 15kmh. Feel a clunk, like I ran over something in the rear. Looked, but there was nothing on the road........ hmmmmmmm Car drives fine.... I drive it for a couple of days, then go to wash it. The exhaust is hanging a bit low. I thought maybe lost an exhaust hanger or something... but NO. The whole motor is hangin down a bit on the drivers side..... I thought it was a motor mount... Nope... motor bracket snapped! http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/images/engine/1-9-8.jpg upon closer inspection, it appears it has snapped before and someone welded it up. Well, with me being 150km from home, I had it welded up too. But, I have a new one on the way, along with motor mounts as well since it all has to come out. I just cant imagine what would have happened if the other side let loose at the same time! I am very glad my first broken item is relatively inexpensive to fix. (About $300 cdn for the bracket and new mounts) |

Pretty common, I gather.
The one on the 'ol Blue Bomber is welded up on one end; by her PO, I guess.
