I will post pictures tonight, but wow what a HP fest; 2 GT3's and a Viper!
I was a little dissapointed with how many cars there were (too many) so there weren't that many runs.
I think we might have to say P-cars only

More than the one in May Bob? There was what - a dozen cars there then, and it seemed like it was bordering on too many.

Anyone been to the Friday night Auto-X at Race City? I'm worried that one will be too busy and you could only get in 3 or 4 runs, and for $40 that's not enough!

Damn, too many pictures, had to start all over!

It was a great night (for the mosquitos) just kidding I had a great time, but there were about 17-19 cars run in two groups. I got in 4 runs and after the third I realized I forgot to set my fronts to full firm, so I cut 2 seconds off my last run after that....let see that puts me about 18 seconds behind the GT3's

Here are some picts to enjoy...no action ones (I need a better camera with a longer lens) but you'll get the idea.

My holidays have changed a bit, so I think I may be able to make it out for the Aug 2 Auto-X. Is it going to be at the south track at racecity as well? What kind of helmet do I need? Cost? any other details?

Helmet - Snell approved motorcycle helmet (SNELL 95 or newer), cost is $30 for PCA members, $35 (I think) for non-members. Car in good mechanical condition.

Well that was a fun night, even with 26 cars there (but most of them were P-cars! Yay!). The GT3s are just awesome and give a guy terrible ideas. I still wanted to see the Cayenne run though

Although I ran fairly consistently (yeah, consistently bad) I'm still the slowpoke on the track - I was in the 1:40 range and I think the GT3s were down to 1:15? But I have fun and that's all that counts! I really wish some guys in some vintage cars would show up - maybe an old 911 or 914. It sucks being the only car built before 1980.

I can't belive I missed this again! I got back from holidays late Monday and was tied up in meetings all Tuesday. Next time maybe? Nope - I'm out of town for work then and can't change the date.

Next season, I'll have to plan everything around the schedule and give the 1970 911E some exercise!
