Cure for the Winter Blues...
Today was such a nice day in Calgary it was the perfect opportunity to open and install some of Santa's presents for my 1970T...
K&N Filter and Water shields  Dansk "RSR" muffler  Took her for a drive and what a symphony...Music to my ears...  Enjoy...

So, what if, after a spirited drive in summer shorts, you step back, open the lid, and accidentally put the lower leg to those pipes?
 Not to mention that you'll fall over them when walking around the car.  I think they'd look better cut shorter.

I was a bit surprised about the length too.....
Guess I'll just have to be careful...  I may consider cutting them, but I understand that changes the sound...

Sound would not change noticeably.
Do a photo-shop on them cut back with chrome tips welded on. Not the flimsy ones from Can. Tire. There are some nice chrome tips available; about 6 inches long with thick walls from muffler shops. I used a few of them; very nice!

Congrats on the great work! Awesome job.
As for the pipes, it's really personal preference, I know one of the guys that works at Pelican Parts has a car set up with pipes just like that. What'ya gonna do? If you like 'em, keep 'em. Must sound sweeeet. Now how is it that a Calgarian gets out for a drive but us guys in the interior of BC are snowed in? |

Thanks Rob, they do sound sweeet...
We're snowed in now so don't feel too bad...As you know, we do get nice breaks here in Cowtown weather wise...Can't let you guys on the Coast get all the decent weather.. It could be -40 but as long as there is no snow on the streets, the cars come out...
