Windshield Seal Replacement in Calgary
Anyone have suggestions on who will replace front and rear window gaskets on a 84 930??
The shop that has been recommended made it sound like I was asking them to handle radioactive waste with oven mitts. Is it really that difficult to replace the rubber seals? Thanks in advance

seal replacement
It's a pain in you know what, but we done my 912 and it took 1hr for front and back.
If you want to travel down to Turner valley, I have an old glass guy who could do it. send me a PM and I give you his phone number. |

Call Marc at Alpine...he has a guy that comes to his shop to do this kind of stuff.

Thanks for the info...the shop that was recommend to me by Porsche and a few others, he was quoting 3 to 5 hrs!
Very nice guy and I would use him for other vehicles but I thought that sounded odd. I will follow up both leads!

Craig at Dominion Auto Glass did my rear seal in about 1 hr for $105 while I waited(and watched). He indicated that he does a lot of 911"s.
Phone 250-8930 This was 2 years ago.

Dai,
Unfortunately our host could not provide the required parts and Porsche's pricing was insane. I got all the seals out of Miami, very reasonable. The shop just charged me labour, and shop supplies. Apparantly it is not the easiest of jobs especially the rear glass due to all the heater contacts, 12 plus the main trunk line.
