Charlie, if you want to practice ride height and alignment, drop by my place. The yellow beast is wildly out of whack!

Andrew I could set you up with some proper fenders... Sad about the engine but at least it found it's way to you.

wideRSR - I see BC is filled with comedians!
Traveller - Porsche offered the slope nose option through their special wishes department in the mid 80's, then offered it as an actual option code (505) for 87-89 model years. Tuners also did conversions on cars with either steel or fiberglass components - this particular car is all steel. This car aparently had the conversion work done in Germany before it was brought to California in early 86. I need to still do some research to find out when and who did it. Regards, Andrew M

[QUOTE=Traveller;5704603]What years did Porsche offer slant nose models, or was that style only offered by a company like RUF?
Back in 87, the Turbo was offered as a Cabriolet for $76,500 and the optionnal "slant nose" look was $23,500 making it the 1st Porsche production car (not special wishes) to break the $100,000 barrier. I'm doing the number from memory but I'll confirm tonigh when I get home.

Back to the magazine, there was about 200 allocated for the US market in 87. The price was $83,310 (Turbo Cab) and $27,864 (Slantnose option package.

Kevin
This was a Road & Track Porsche 1988 Special Edition. It was given to me from a Pelican friend (Stu in CA), earlyer this year, after he saw Das Babe in my PP garage. He also give me the Christophorus Speciall Edition celebrating the 1,000,000 Porsche produced. The center fold was a poster of all the cars produced to date; much better then any Playboy, Penthouse and others that I have seen except maybe for the Caligula special... Nah, the movie was much better ![]() ![]() ![]() I got the poster laminated at Costco and as I was finishing shopping, every body ask me; which aisle did get it... It's now proudly display in the garage. ![]()
