my 930 is for sale..

Reluctantly, I've started talking about my car being for sale. Those of you who know my username will likely know my car.

I don't have any pictures of it at this moment and I'm not in any rush to sell it, but I'll get some soon if there's interest. My wife and I just bought a cottage and I don't have room for another vehicle, so I need a more practical 2nd car (only have one daily driver).

With the market the way it is, I'm not expecting to sell this anytime soon, but figured I'd give it a try.

Car details:

1987 930 Guards red. As far as I can tell, original paint, although I thing the front bumper may have been resprays, if so, it needs it again as it's got some stone chips. I'd say the exterior of the car is a 7.5/10. I like perfection, so I'm trying to be as honest as possible about it.

I bought the car 8 years ago and imported it from Minnesota and currently has 119K miles. I am the 4th owner.

i did a top end on it 2 winters ago, and rebuilt the transmission as well, so she shifts very smoothly.

I have an excel spreadsheet of what I did to it in the past number of years, including upgrades like GHL headers, B&B muffler, Andial inter cooler, Tial wastegate and SC cams (put in when I did the top end). It still has the stock turbo, although it did have a K-27 in it for 3 years (still have the turbo, but it's shot).

The cars runs great and has newer shocks all around. I've been using Brad Penn (semi synthetic) for 4 years now and like it. I really do love this car, and she's just awesome when you get a chance to open it up a little. I never tracked the car with the exception of a one day Porsche Drivers Ed I did when I first bought the car, so it see's street all the time.

A little off topic regarding the good looking 930, but I was wondering about your two post lift.
What brand, and height of the unit along with lifting capacity? I am having a garage built and would like to put in a two poster. Is this lift available in Canada?

No worries Captain J.D., the lift is Mohawk (Mohawk Lifts A-7- purchase two post lifts, two post car lifts & truck lift contracts | Mohawk Lifts Consumer Site), i have the smallest 2 poster they make and it's good for 7000lbs. They are available in Canada are made in the US not too far from Rochester i believe. They're unfortunately not inexpensive by any stretch but for what you get, it's truly a wonderful lift. The columns are about 7 ft high and it's a clear floor design. The hydraulic lines run above and they can be at any height you like.

30K seems cheap, I thought these cars were in the 40's in CDN, what does it need? I bought the same car in BC about 4 years ago and paid 33K for it and when we transfered the ownership the old boot at the insurance place thought I was declaring a lower value to avoid taxes, when I got mine it was a quick sale price, the owner needed the money yesterday, and the car needed nothing.

s_morrison57 , I agree, but with the market the way it is, i'm not getting any traction at a higher price. Nothing wrong with the car other than cosmetic things due to age. I'm only selling because I'm moving onto another type of vehicle (project) and need the space as i have the one spot in the winter for storage only.. I'd be happy to sell it to you for more if you like.
