fixing tach in Canada

A couple of the light bulbs have fallen into my Tach. Does any one know of a shop in Canada who can open the tach to remove the bulbs? I don't want to send it to NHS for such a simple task. Philip

I patiently extracted a lightbulb once using a cotton swap with sticky tape on the end , but it took forever to line up the bulb with n accessable bulb holder

If it's like speedo, it's really easy to open up. I had mine open in a few minutes with no special tools at all. I can't remember the exact procedure, but it's fairly obvious once you have it on the workbench.

You need a really small flat head screwdriver. Insert it between the tach base and the trim ring. Very carefully pry the ring from the base. Pry a little at a time working around the tach. Eventually the ring will expand enough it will come off.
Installation is easier. Once the lens and cap is in place use a very small hammer and just tap the ring tightly to the tach base.

Philip as others have said it's not that hard. If you don't want to tackle it just bring it with you when you come down and I'll fix it for you.
