WTB: 3.0 Litre Engine Complete

Looking to buy a complete 3.0 litre engine for my 1980 SC - in running condition - recent rebuild preferred.

My existing engine is running well but needs at least one head stud replaced - I don't presently have the time to rebuild the engine, so I'm looking for an engine to quickly swap-in for spring & summer driving, and then I will rebuild my existing engine.

I am located in St. John's Newfoundland.

Also posted this in the classifieds, but thought I would try my luck here too.

Thanks in advance,

Happy Motoring,

T

At one time Gunter had a 3.0 for sale after he installed a 3.2 SS in his SC.

He may still have it. Gunter For Sale threads are often very long and entertaining!

I bought a 3.0 a couple years ago - took me quite a while to find a good one. They're getting harder to find. Best bet is to try shops to find one that's been pulled for a transplant. I found mine through John Walker's shop in Seattle. Maybe try some of the shops in Toronto, especially Hunter Motorsports.
