Tunerworks has one you can rent or you could ask them who could do it for you.

I used a bat with mine. It worked very well. I just went and got a smaller diameter wooden children's bat so it would fit into the tire/fender gap a bit better. You can use mine if you want to try it.

I picked up a fender roller from princess auto for $43. you'd be welcome to borrow it if you like. it's the best way if you don't want to damage the paint.

I ended up cracking the paint on the lip when I used this method. Even after using a hair drier to warm things up.

Charlie, a hair drier probably won't get warm enough to get the paint flexible. I think regardless of which method one uses, cracked paint is a risk. Getting the paint quite warm, but not burn yourself hot should make it flexible enough to not crack. Or maybe I was just lucky...

a heat gun works better. need to heat the whole area, not just the lip. from both sides. hot enough that you can just hold your hand on it for a second.
even then. cracked paint is a likely result. just luck of the draw. |

Thanks for the info. It looks like I can rent an Eastwood roller here in Calgary so I will give that a try within a week or so. Will let you know how it turns out.

I got an Eastwod fender roller off a local body shop but the bolt pattern was incorrect(miscommunication wiith the owner ) so that didn't work. While the tire was off I tapped the lip with a rubber mallet and managed to turn it in enough I hope. No obvious paint damage. The only fender I have a problem with is the front passenger.

Shows these cars are definitely hand built. My driver side front is tight.
