I was certainly pretty confused this morning by all the PM's/emails
the 'bumper' made the classic newbie mistake  and it really didn't help to remind me of another of the cars that I maybe should have kept

I could have bought a nice complete '66 912 with not matching engine on a pallet. Colour change, but no rust, perfect chrome, interior, with a tank cut in for a /6, etc....real nice car.
I passed on it because of above and it was only a 912.  About 7 years ago, I could have picked it up for less than $9K

I paid $500 for that car. sold it six months later and doubled my money. so all good
