I picked up a used book yesterday called "Porsche Owner's Companion" by Dan Werner Post. In it is a comprehensive section on street use:

Chapter Four: "The Battle of the Boulevard"
= Inspection
= Driving with skill and anticipation
= Control in bad weather
= Preventative parking
= Troubleshooting by sound
= Storage
= Protective covering
= Avoiding a tow

The "Preventative parking" section is something else alltogether. 'Nerf bars, angle parking, building a personal parking space, etc.
