Looking for info on renting a Porsche in Germany
I plan to be in Germany for business in November. I'm really interested in driving the Nurbrgring during one of their open lapping days. Using a generic rental car would be fine but I wanted to look into renting a Porsche to do it. I have no idea about where I should go, what to consider or what to look out for. I would appreciate any help from someone who has done something like this or knows about it.

I'd really think long and hard before doing that. Avis rents them I think but they want some serious $ and dont forget $8 per gallon over there.
do it legal 1) ring taxi 2) rent a preped car at the track wth all of the insurance |

I think most of the big rental outfits rent them. We went through Hertz (I think) rented a cheap on gas Smart 4-4 as we did nearly 2000km. but they had 8-10 Porsches availiable for rent at the Airport in Frankfurt. I didn't ask the price. I would gladly payfor the ring taxi experience with Sabine. Just couldn't work it in at the time.

also there is a rental company in Ramstein Village (2 hours south from the ring) who has Porsche's for rental. Boxster S, not sure if they have other models now. The 2 hour drive is also quite fun, great roads in the Rhineland.
