I have a
2008 Mini Cooper 2dr, hardtop Non turbo...
Vin:WMWMF33578TT59412

I need a replacement eng / motor.
Not certain what one. My guess is the R-56 or R-57
What engine do I need.

R56 and R57 are the designation of the overall model. R56 is the 2nd-generation MINI Hardtop, while R57 is (I think!) the 2nd-generation Clubman. Since the R56 is the "standard" MINI, R56 often gets used as a catch-all for "2nd generation MINI".
