Coincidence. Address the fault codes separately.

Your scan tool is pulling the MINI FC code. P1497 0x2B64 is Downstream Throttle Air Leak. Check for vacuum leaks. A smoke test will be your best bet to track one down, if that's your cause. Could be something simple like a leaking valve cover. Have also seen VANOS cause this fault. Might not be a bad idea to clean yours first. This article should help: MINI Cooper R56 VANOS Solenoid Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article. More info on P1497 in this Pelican thread here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/bmw-mini/940120-vent-tube.html.
P1338 0x296A - Camshaft Position Sensor Rationality Check (Inlet - Outlet) For P1338, if replacing the camshaft sensor does nothing your engine timing could be off. I'd possibly also check your VANOS, but I'd think you'd have a VANOS code as well. Camshaft DIY - MINI Cooper R56 Camshaft Sensor Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article |
