Hi - I just replaced my thermostat Mini Cooper 2007, non-turbo and now I'm getting rough idling and starting takes about 1-2 seconds longer. I'm also getting codes P0012, P0014, and P0017. Should I replace both cam shaft sensors? Maybe I might have damaged the wires during the replacement of the thermostat while pushing the wire bundle out of the way to access the thermostat?
Any help is appreciated. Also, how fast can you ship to California because I need the parts ASAP. Thank you, __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: MINI Cooper R56 Camshaft Sensor Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article |

You may have dirty VANOS solenoids or worn timing components.

Could definitely just be a coincidence, but definitely check over your install. Make sure you have the connectors plugged into the correct spot. Use our article to check over your install (this is for a Cooper S, but still can be helpful): MINI Cooper R56 Turbocharged Engine Thermostat Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article. Definitely check your VANOS solenoids. You have 2 - you can swap one with the other to see if the codes change to test or attempt to clean them. If cleaning doesn't work, replace. If camshaft sensor and VANOS are not the issue it could possibly be a timing issue.
