2006 enclosed Trailex
I've owned this trailer for over 10 years and it has been a trusty companion, not once letting me down in any manner.
I really don't want to sell it but I'm finally scratching the vintage racing itch and I need a trailer that can better support race operations. I have a new trailer inbound in June and I have one more trip to make with this one...to pick up said vintage race car. The very good news for any prospective buyer is that in prep for my latest (and last) trip, I just had a full service that included 4 new tires, all new bearings, seals, and grease, a new hydraulic jack, and a new emergency braking unit in case of inadvertent separation. Receipt in hand for $971.79. This trailer has an in floor storage compartment, and extra tool box mounted on the side wall, a tire rack, and a winch with remote control. Note that the race ramps and the bins in the pictures are not included. The only issue on the trailer that I'm aware of is that the black paint is faded and the Porsche stickers put on it many years ago have delaminated. I do believe it will polish out just fine and will look great with a ceramic coat but I haven't tested that hypothesis because it looks a very even satin black right now and I don't want to make a shiny spot. I see new versions of this trailer with asking prices of $35K and that's without a tire rack, winch, in-floor cabinet, or extra cabinet so probably another thousand or two on top of that. Plus...in looking at newer construction methods and design, I feel the older versions (like this one) were probably built with more sturdiness in mind (rather than profit)...you be the judge, YMMV. Example: https://www.rockstrailersales.com/2024-trailex-cte-84180t-enclosed-car-hauler-3gNq.html If you're interested in this trailer please note the following: 1. It is in Grand Rapids, Michigan 2. I need to use it for a final trip that will be complete on May 30. The trailer will be available after that. 3. Even though I'm personally selling the trailer, it will actually be papered and sold through the dealer selling me my new trailer as I'm using it as a trade-in. I will absorb any dealer fees associated with the transaction, but buyer will be responsible for their own tax and registration fees, etc. There may be an option to have title, tag, and registration etc. done through the dealer. Something to discuss. I know the pictures are small, but call me if interested and I will send better pictures via email or text. For some reason, the upload is squawking at me when I try to load the native images. I'm asking $14,500.00. Thanks for looking. Jim H. 937-671-4505 ![]() ![]() |
