I don't understand the comments that they are not powerful, this thing can blow dust and leaves onto my neighbors property if I was so inclined. We have nearly an acre of property and use the blower every day. Charges in 15 minutes and can blow our 600 ft driveway and walkways on a single charge.

I intend to pickup their hedge trimmer that uses the same battery.

I don't own any gas powered lawn tools and have no plans to buy a ranch so I'm sticking to quality electric stuff.

Yeah really impressed with the ego stuff. I am going to get the mower when my son is old enough to mow.

Battery tech has come along way in the last decade and i fully expect the battery to last 7+ years. The ego batteries have phase change cooling and are built with spread out cells for longevity.

that's what I have.

echo makes very good stuff. I saw an article in popular mechanics
where they compared chainsaws. echo was as good or better than stihl.

the ONLY thing I don't like about my echo is the guard for the string. it is really small now and grass and dirt pepper me like a shot gun shooting birdshot. its HORRIBLE. I have to dress for combat when I weed eat now.
I looked at the one my old john deere weed eater and the JD as much better.
I even tried to put the JD one on the echo but no go.

that john deere lasted over 15 years.

Same here.
I just bought this for my Echo, to do edging. I haven't tried it out yet..but I like the idea of having a stabile point for the trimmer.

Had time today to try this out. Took about 10 minutes to switch out the guard for the edger.
Very nice tool...it makes an approx 1 inch wide and deep edge in a perfect, crisp line.
Just walk it around the sidewalk, drive, or boundary and it's done. The wheel keeps it from straying.
Throws a lot of dirt at you...def need to wear goggles.

Along with my string trimmer, I have a dedicated stick edger by Echo I use for edging. I looked at this product and didn't see where it would be any improvement over my current setup.

Here's a video that goes into more detail --- and I have to agree with what is said.

Yep..the video is exactly how it works. So much easier than trying to maintain a line by just aiming.
Makes a nice clean edge.
Took me a while getting used to using it left-handed. Works much better than RH

This is what I use.......

^^^ Nice

For those that hate loading their trimmer, the echo quick feed head comes with adapters for pretty much every trimmer out there. Its SO much easier- take twenty feet of line, feed one end in and spin the head until its all wound in-no taking the inner spool off and futzing with two levels of line etc. 29-39 bucks depending, game changer. That and a good $13 harness from Amazon...

Went with the last one of these available directly from Amazon. I like the idea of expanding it with different attachments. I've always kind of want a pole saw, so now I can add one down the road.
