That story was hard to believe. I have watched Bridezillas a few times and am convinced it's the most scripted "reality" show on tv. They might as well use animation and talking animals. That'd be more realistic.

Forgot about the photographer, it was my aunt! She did a pretty decent job though. Our wedding was about 300 people but my wife has a HUGE family that all lives in the area.

And now, in this corner, wearing white with a veil, the contender, Bridezilla #2
Bridezilla mocked after strict wedding rules go viral | Fox News
Quote:
“Please arrive 15-30 minutes early. Please DO NOT wear white, cream, or ivory. Please do not wear anything other than a basic bob or ponytail. Please do not [have] a full face of makeup,” the list begins.

“Do not record during the ceremony. Do not check in on [Facebook] until instructed. Use #[Wedding hashtag] when posting all pictures.”

“DO NOT TALK TO THE BRIDE AT ALL,” it continues.

“Everyone will toast with Rémy. No acceptance. Lastly must come with gift $75 or more or you won’t be admitted,” the list concludes.
What the Hell is wrong with these people? One of the comments said “What an excellent list of reasons to not go,” Others suggested bringing all pennies or showing up naked with a ponytail.

Totally fake. I don’t believe a word of that.

I understand, but I tend to believe. Owned an equipment and event rental business for over 15 years. One of the reasons I sold was the horrible attitude of the brides and mobs the last 5 years or so. No matter what our (excellent) staff did, you just can't make them happy.

I have seen it all. Run away brides/grooms. cheaters, last minute cancellations and very unrealistic expectations. TV shows didn't do us any flavors also....

We did well over 300 weddings a year and to be honest, besides the wedding-to-be of my kids I am not planning on attending any. If I see an add I skip or change channels. Seems like I developed an allergy....

I'm a musician and I love weddings for these reasons:

1. Everyone is nicely dressed
2. Food is plentiful
3. The children/angels rush the stage and dominate the dancing, at least for a while. The little girls twirl their dresses.
4. Pay is decent

Not necessarily in that order.

Back in the days of film, I photographed weddings for many years as a source of extra money. As a photographer I had to be 100% on every photo. Check camera setting on each shot. Shooting a 6x7 cm frame of film with just 10 shots per roll of film to get real quality 35mm film simply can't achieve. There are no re-shoots of a wedding. It has to be 100% exposed perfect, and in focus. Now with auto-focus high res digital and RAW images Photoshop can fix a lot. Those were not even dreamed of back then.

I dealt with lots of brides, but 90% of the time, it was the bride's mother that was the crazy one. Some were great, but many were just useless blobs of emotions.

One wedding was exceptionally hard to photograph. The bride was in white, but the bridesmaids (all 8 of them) were in BLACK gowns. Now try to get the exposure on a super bright white dress next to a black dress in the days of Kodak VPS color film, ASA 160. OK, now it is ISO but it was ASA back then.

I photographed a wedding that had to cost 6 figures, and I photographed wedding that were in a small home, and the only food was a big bowl of beanie weenies (really) and iced tea. One wedding the bride paid the best man and the grooms friends to hold the groom down to to cut off the grooms fu manchu mustache before the wedding. A match made in heaven.
