Google bans Gunbroker

Google is removing the Gunbroker App from the Play Store.

This doesn't surprise me.

Thought you guys all used flip phones ??

What would a gunbroker app do that a normal website couldn't? Most "apps" I see are nothing more than crappy home-spun web browsers in a walled-garden.

App... I can't even stand their mobile version

berettafan 09-07-2018 09:30 AM

I dunno what google play is but I've never used it.

dafischer 09-07-2018 09:38 AM

I want nothing to do with anything that has the name "Google" attached to it.

This.

And I write phone apps ... but never to substitute for a properly designed site.

It is their app store. Unlike the walled garden of Apple you can use a 3rd party app repo on Android devices

Considering that Google is the go-to if you want to make your own explosives or IED, this seems rather ironic.

You may want to avoid Pelican then ;). You connect to their servers every time you visit here...incognito though.

A point that, if argued, I'm sure they would use the first amendment to defend. Funny how that argument only seems to go one way.
