He was my inspiration to take some nice long trips in my 911. Loved his stories. Only wish that I had met him in person.

I met Ron at the Dragon event in 2005. He was a great guy who was a man to nature. He had firewood in the back of his Targa to burn at his campfire. He was a "nowhere man".

Shortly before ron passed, after he was seemingly getting more mobile after treatment, he and I were discussing/ planning his route for his next drive. It wasn't going to be in the 911, he wanted an older Cadillac Eldorado, he had found one locally to him and was really ready to jump on the deal specifically for the trip.
I had recently driven from florida to Newfoundland for the targa Newfoundland and he loved the idea based my pics.
We're had about a week's worth of travel waypoints laid out.
Then he was gone.
I'll be doing that route someday..
