It's too bad we live in a world where the idea of someone telling the poor woman it's a bad idea to hose down the interior of a car doesn't even register on the synapses.

So many possibilities here. Perhaps her husband/boyfriend pitched a fit over how filthy she leaves his car and, instead of setting it on fire or shoveling it full of pig **** she decided to clean it real well for him.
I doubt anyone thinks this is a legit way to clean a car. I don’t think the “too stupid” assumption applies.
