Can you suggest a better system for moving goods and services?

I wonder how long before Youtube decides these people are making too much and decides to tighten things up a little.

Youtube has replaced TV for me almost completely. There are so many well done science, car, and technology related channels. For the most part I do not think it is easy to make an excellent and popular channel. Most of the more popular channels I watch are the result of hard work and talent/charisma. I don't begrudge the success of most of these people

Except doug demuro.......that guy is annoying. Don't know anything about this kids channel though. If you have young kids that like to watch youtube, check out The Action Lab. Interesting for kids and adults alike

Youtube gets ad revenue.

They want these people to be successful.

No different than a TV network.

I tried to explain this to my father the day, didn't sink in

Stick and ball athletes making millions seemed just as asinine 50 years ago. This is where the next generation spends their time so that's where the marketing money will flood.

Edit: Doesn't mean I think this is where we should be headed, only that it "is" and I understand.

It's different and the same at the same time.

We watch people making millions driving one off hyper performance vehicles around a track.

Why?

We like cars and appreciate the skill it takes to drive them well.

eSports is no different.

The people who watch also play and admire the skill it takes to play at a higher level.

Maybe a better comparison is people who watch competitive poker on TV.

It's less the thing being done and more the level to which it's being done.

My nephew started uploading short video clips on YouTube a few years back when he would get home from his job at FedEx. When he started making @ $25K quarterly from posting videos on YouTube in his spare time he left FedEx to do it full time. I have no idea what he's taking in now, but he can work from the comfort of his home, on his own schedule, and without someone looking over his shoulder.

The only problem is, fluffers age-out ~28 or so; it will be difficult to get back into the workforce

E sports. I don't see the value transitioning.
Play army on the screen, but never ruck 12 miles. Shoot with a controller but can't line up iron sites or better yet even qualify.
