Thanks for posting the sign and story. We have deep family farm history in Albany (west side of the 5), but never been over to the Honey Sign. Maybe we'll make a stop on our next visit!

I don't have any photos because it's been a long time since the signs were taken down, but there was a parking lot near here with two signs.
One was a cartoon image of a tow truck with a man hanging off the hook by his big toe. The Sign said, "Park not, for ye shall be toed."
Another one said, (instead of "No parking, violators will be Prosecuted") "No parking. Perpetrators will be Violated."

Remember the episode of "The Grand Tour" entitled "From (censored) to (censored)"?

That episode included the following towns in Germany & Austria:

And one more town in Austria that good taste prevents me from posting.

When I had my vacation home in the Smokey Mountains there was a Pelican that lived local to me.

We were both heathens that did not go to church on Sunday mornings, instead we would meet up and go for a drive on some fun empty roads since everyone was in church there.

We covered NC, SC and Georgia in a 80 mile or so loop that would take most of the morning to cover.

We aptly called the drive "The 3 State Revival".

We stopped off here and there to stretch our legs, this was one of the places we stopped.

I still think the blood (red paint) dropping down is a horrific touch but what do I know?

Once in a while we would get a local guest to join us, this weekend a local guy with a 928 took a spin with us.

I miss that house and my friends up there lots of good times up there.

LMAO! Just one neighbor. The one that lived below me with the thieving dog named Daisy. Ironic since he was a GC you would think he would welcome outsiders.

Most everyone else I knew there was very nice. The 944 guy and 928 guy were both great people.

Admittedly people were a bit stand offish to you initially, a common interest like sports cars tends to break the ice quickly.

Guy at bottom of hill had a Z3 and was super friendly, he was a transplant from DC though. He was the one who explained it takes a bit for folks to warm up.

There are more heathens up there than you think.
