Lewis admitted he screwed up, Albon admitted he didn't know exactly how close Lewis was and didn't protect the inside line enough, and then there's Vettel who admitted.... nothing.

Seems like a racing incident to me.

Also: Lewis messes up " My fault, I apologize". Seb messes up" What was Leclerc doing?"
Not looking great for Vettel, especially after he did that exact same chop to Mark Weber too (was it turkey?) !

Zactly...

Lewis: Admitted fault, and apologized.
Albon: Didn't cry/whine about it. Even said Lewis would have probably got past him on the uphill/straight anyway.
Vettel: Caused an incident taking out both himself and his teammate and immediately cast blame on LeClerc and then pouted about it in the post-race interview. Lame.

must say, I'm with you guys. VET has turned into a whiner and a guy who makes stupid judgement errors. If I didn't know better I would say he has taken vercrahen's place in racing. HAM stepped up and admitted his fault. VET would have whined that ALB turned in on him. ABL was a class act in the post race

That was the best racing all year, and worst bunch of mistakes too

legion 11-20-2019 06:05 PM

Nothing to see here. Move along.

I guess the Formula E is finally shoved down all our throats this wonT be a problem. it won't effect me because I won't be watching anyways.

I'm finding myself to be a fan of Binotto. I love the things that he says, and when his tech talk slips into his dialog. Much respect for him. https://www.planetf1.com/news/ferrari-swapped-straightline-speed-for-cornering/

I think honestly Leclerc is a bit raw still, like early Lewis was at McLaren in his rookie year. He should bench a driver now and then and let the reserve driver take over a Gran Prix. That would stop the grab-ass horseplay on track better than skipping a press conference would.

We’ll Ferrari is consistent in their strategic planning.

Maybe their strategists are better with pasta because with race cars they make way too many mistakes .

chapo 11-30-2019 05:41 PM

Ferrari needs to hire Cole Pearn, ASAP. Not that hard.

astrochex 12-01-2019 07:03 AM

Mercifully, for Mercedes competition and many fans, the 2019 season is over.

Any rest for the weary, Won?

javadog 12-01-2019 07:07 AM

Given that Mercedes has won roughly three quarters of the races the last 6 years, 2021 can't come soon enough.

Someone should convince Audi to rejoin the WEC, so I have a race to watch from time to time.

legion 12-01-2019 07:19 AM

Any ideas on what is going on with LeClerc's "investigation"? Are they loading extra fuel onto the Ferrari's to support pushing harder after their previous two tricks (burning oil and "saving" fuel on to bypass the fuel flow meter).

stealthn 12-01-2019 07:20 AM

So two questions, what was the outcome of LeClerc’s fuel report? And, Ferrari does seem a lot worse after they were called out on “cheating” so what did they have to change?

cairns 12-01-2019 09:30 AM

I'm having withdrawals already. But to answer your questions:

A preferred the first segment with no DRS available.
Enjoyed seeing Botas without DRS struggle to pass the mid back teams.
Max commenting on background wheel gun noise when his engineer was transmitting was impressive.

astrochex 12-01-2019 01:40 PM

It was more interesting when DRS was down.

chapo 12-01-2019 03:08 PM

I think I set a personal best with the FF button.

Deschodt 12-02-2019 06:28 AM

Boring race as usual in abu dhabi...

But to me, Sainz is the most underrated driver of the season. 6th in the WC in a McLaren! Not bad ! PAss on the last lap that he needed, hero move... I like him, he's fairly humble too...

And another "new" driver I am genuinely fond of now: Lando Norris. Such a nice, genuine and funny kid, and a good driver to boot. Cracking up in driver conferences, funny on the radio, emotional, I may become a McLaren fan for next season. Both their drivers are great guys !
